**Please Read The IMPORTANT Information Below Regarding Cosmetic Flaws.***
1997 Factory-Matched Drum Workshop drums with sequential serial numbers. Beautiful Teal Lacquer on finely-grained Maple Shells. Super-thin shells with re-rings, sharp bearing edges, and they tune up like butter. Warm, deep, resonant drums!
"Shell Pack" of five drums. The floor tom has legs, A NEW DW DOUBLE TOM STAND is included. This stand has a $105.00 value
Included in this sale:
8X10 Tom, has the newest DW tom bracket installed on the STM mount, which has a better "tooth" and grips the L-arm more firmly than the older ones.
9X12 Tom, likewise has the new tom bracket.
13X16 Floor Tom, has new DW legs and brackets.
16X22 Bass Drum, virgin (no tom mount). Has been drilled for a microphone installation with an external jack. It is pre-wired with a pretty nice Nady bass drum mic, but you can switch out the mic if you don't care for it.... the interior cable is a standard female XLR. Installed mike has a $350.00 value.
8X22 DW Drum Workshop Collector's Series Woofer ~ a $1100.00 value. Teal Lacquer. 1997 DW "Woofer", 8X22, in Teal Lacquer. Excellent used condition, complete and original. A Woofer, placed in close proximity to the front of your bass drum, produces extended low-frequency resonance, which can then be mixed with the standard bass drum tone to create a deep, thunderous bass drum sound unobtainable by any other means. This woofer includes a factory-installed MAY EA microphone package. I am not absolutely sure what mic it is. I think it's an Audix D4... but it's not marked, and they changed the screen design. So, without taking the capsule apart, I cannot guarantee whether it's a D4, a D6... it's the factory mic, though, in the original May shockmount. Sorry....In addition, this sale includes a MAY Woofer Pedestal/Mount, which positions and isolates the drum. AND, for transporting the woofer, an XL PROTECHTOR custom-built case, heavily-padded, designed specifically for the DW woofer a $300.00 value.
***PLEASE NOTE THE FOLLOWING COSMETIC ISSUES: Although the drums look superb (see photos), they are not "new" or "mint". There are a small number of minor dings on the kit overall, none of which penetrate the stain. In addition, the lacquer topcoat has lifted or clouded around some of the lugs, leaving a lighter-toned ring. In a couple of cases, the lacquer has peeled entirely away in a small area around the lug. I don't know why this happened. There's no water damage to the shells. Possibly the lacquer adhered to the rubber gaskets before it dried completely. These flaws were not disclosed to me when I bought the drums (used) originally, and I didn't mind them, but you may feel differently. The drums could be re-lacquered or varnished (?) I think, or wrapped, or simply enjoyed as they are. The damage is not to the shells, only to the finish, but I am pricing them low, accordingly, as a "player's kit". They are priced about $500 below their value. They are still great-sounding, professional drums.
Please consider thoughtfully whether these finish flaws might disappoint you. They are not horrible-looking, but they are visible upon inspection. Please examine the photos carefully, I think they show up.
Let me emphasize again: wonderful kit (the best drums I have ever heard), but has noticeable flaws in the lacquer. This is a great kit with striking wood grain. THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL JUST AS THE ARE.
